Дизайн и интерфейс Firefox будут существенно переработаны
Сообщество Mozilla намерено обновить дизайн и интерфейс браузера Firefox для Windows.
Веб-обозреватель получит ряд ключевых элементов, аналогичных реализованным в Google Chrome. Обновление пройдет в два этапа: небольшие изменения сначала затронут версию Firefox 3.7, которая выйдет в первой половине 2010 года; более серьезная модификация ожидается в Firefox 4.0.
Устаревший Windows-интерфейс Firefox будет изменен в версии 3.7 в соответствии со «стеклянным» стилем, впервые представленные в Windows Vista. При этом цветовая палитра получит более нейтральные оттенки, панель меню исчезнет, управление браузером сосредоточиться в двух пунктах ( «Страница» и «Инструменты»), появится универсальная кнопка для остановки и перезагрузки веб-страницы.
В Firefox 4.0 вкладки с веб-страницами можно будет перемещать в верхнюю часть окна браузера, строка ввода адреса и поисковая панель будут объединены, столы строку состояния внизу экрана исчезнет. Все это уже реализовано в Google Chrome.
В Mozilla утверждают, что не старались копировать элементы дизайна Google Chrome, поясняя, что появление общих черт между браузерами все равно неизбежно.
Интерфейс Firefox для Linux также подвергнется пересмотру. А вот редакция браузера для Macintosh обойдется без серьезных изменений.
